MicroTech Named Blue Chip Winner in Future 50 Fast Growth Award

Award Winning Company Leads List of Washington Area's 50 Rapidly Growing Businesses

MicroTech, a leading solutions provider, was recognized as a special-category "Blue Chip" business as SmartCEO Magazine honored the Future 50 award winners last night in Arlington, Va. MicroTech COO Steve Truitt accepted the award on the company's behalf before more than 650 local business leaders. Blue Chip companies generate more than $250 million in revenue, have demonstrated steady growth and have a reputation for providing high-quality management, products and services. Only five companies were selected as Blue Chip winners. This is the third consecutive year that MicroTech was named to the Future 50 list. Over 150 nominations were submitted for review.

The SmartCEO/Clifton Gunderson Future 50 Awards celebrates the region's 50 fastest-growing companies based on employee and revenue growth over the past three years. SmartCEO magazine is profiling local award winners like MicroTech in the January 2012 issue of the publication in Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, reaching 60,000 print and digital subscribers.

As a Future 50 member, MicroTech (www.MicroTech.net) was part of an impressive group of companies that boast $11.7 billion in collective revenues and manage more than 30,000 employees in the Greater Washington area.

"Facing a difficult and unpredictable economy, and uncertain Federal budget cuts, it is a special acknowledgement of MicroTech's success that we have stayed at the top for three years in a row as one of the fastest growing companies in greater Washington," said Tony Jimenez, President & CEO of MicroTech. "The Future 50 award reinforces our continuing mission as an innovative solutions provider whose new products like the MicroKloud™ line of private cloud solutions are rapidly gaining market share in a highly competitive business landscape."

"Comprehensive growth is applause-worthy in healthy economic times. This year's group of winners has ignored the recession and created innovative new avenues for growth. The business community is healthier and stronger due to their efforts," said SmartCEO magazine President and Co-founder Craig Burris.

Other recent fast growth awards that MicroTech has won include the Deloitte Tech Fast 500, the Digital Software 500, and the Washington Business Journal Fast 50.
